Our Primary 7 Mini Business Enterprise

Fruit Direct
The handy, healthy breaktime option!
Following last year's hugely successful mini-enterprise, the Primary 7 pupils has created a new mini-business for the 2011/2012 school year. They have appointed a business team and partnered with Orchard County Foods in order to provide handy mini apple and grape packs which can be purchased by every child from P2-P7. All of the team and their roles are outlined below.
Our Chief Executive Officer (left) and our Assistant CEO (right) have the task of chairing our business meetings and ensuring agreement is reached.
They also have the very difficult job of hiring and firing so they keep everyone on their toes. Like all other members of the business team they double up as part of the breaktime sales team.

Our business cashiers (below) oversee all ordering and then count and prepare money for banking.
Our product managers (below) manage stock and advise the team on most popular snack choices.
Our advertising and marketing department (below) advises on best ways to increase pupil and parent interest.
Following delivery, our food hygiene department ensures the product arrives and is safely stored.
On average we are selling approximately 50 fruit packs each day meaning we are not only learning all about business and finance, but also improving the nutritional standards of all Orchard County Primary School Pupils.
