P3 went outside to find out about Winter. We observed how our school grounds are now different to what they were like when we went on our Autumn walk. We could only find a very small amount of berries that the birds could eat. We talked about how important it is to feed the birds in Winter. We used a thermometer to measure the temperature outside. Today it was 10 degrees celsius. We watched the mercury in the thermometer go down when we brought it out of our warm classroom. We noticed how the temperature rises when we put the thermometer in the sun.
