Outside at the water tray we investigated acorns and whether they would float or sink. Everyone in Primary one made predictions. Afterwards we used leaves to create simple boats to carry the acorns across the water. Back in the classroom we enjoyed a story about the Little Red Hen and what happened when an acorn fell on her head. Maybe you could retell this story to mum or dad at home.
