We have continued to contribute to our pompom jar of good decisions with a focus on kindness and helpfulness towards others. Each child received a certificate stating their act of kindness that we celebrated during the week. The children voted for a party to celebrate their full pompom jar. We also made a kindness chain with each child’s act of kindness written on a link and decorated by the children.
In keeping with our space topic, we have been using different media to make aliens and talked about how they are all different, unique and special. We used play dough, Kid K’Nex, crazy creatures and art resources. We used Chatterpix to talk about the feature of our alien.
Our stories this week focused on kindness and friendship. We discussed how Nogel was a kind friend to Albie at Alien School and how Princess Spaghetti treated the aliens who were mean. Through this we thought about how to be a good friend in Nursery and what to do if we have done something unkind.
