Minibeast Hunting
20th Apr 2026
We gathered our collecting jars and bug catchers and went on a hunt round the school grounds for our garden friends. Through information books, we found that many minibeasts like damp and dark places to hide so we looked under logs and stones and in the crevices of our minibeast hotel. We found slugs, snails, woodlice, centipedes, beetles, worms and a caterpillar. We made habitats for them and observed them for a day before releasing them back where we found them. We know it is important to be kind to all of the little creatures who share our beautiful world.
