The sun shone as required today and we began by looking at shadows. A pupil stood in the playground and his shadow was drawn on the tarmac every hour. The children enjoyed this practical activity and noticed how the shadow moved and changed length as the day progressed. Next we measured temperatures in different parts of the grounds:- in the sun, shade, porch and indoors. A moment of peace was most welcome when we had silent reading outside remembering to choose a spot in the sunshine. In the afternoon we made biodiversity chatterboxes and helped Eco club with a spot of well-needed weeding and tidying up.
