P5/6 Trip to Navan Fort

P5/6 travelled to the Navan Centre today to learn about the Vikings. The presenters were great fun and we especially enjoyed meeting two Viking warriors who tried to scare us. There were interactive opportunities with Viking clothes and weapons. Then we had an art and craft workshop where we used quills to write like the monks and made a bookmark with Celtic images and used the Runic alphabet to write our names. It was a perfect introduction to our new WAU topic and I’m sure the children enjoyed it.
