Thank you so much to Mrs Moffett for coming to nursery to talk to the children about her very important job as a paramedic. We were so excited to see her arriving in an ambulance! We tried on her fluorescent visibility jacket and helmet which we thought was very heavy. Paramedics wear these to be seen and in case they have to help someone who is in a dangerous situation. There was a lot of medical equipment in the ambulance and some of us who wanted to, got our hearts checked and we saw the trace on the screen. The paramedic treated many injuries and everyone was well cared for. It was really exciting to sit inside the ambulance and we saw the lights and heard the siren that lets us know the ambulance is helping someone in an emergency. We had a great experience and learned a lot about helping people who are injured or sick. Some of us would like to be paramedics now!
