Space has been an exciting topic as we were learning facts about our solar system as well as using our imagination and creative skills. Junior Engineers and blocks were used to make rockets and space ships. We painted pictures of aliens and made models using Kid K’nex and dough. We drew some on the ground using chalk and some on our writing boards. We were learning to choose colours and develop our fine motor skills as we coloured aliens on our iPads. We have been learning about shapes as we made rocket pictures. Life on board a space station is very different to how we sleep, move and eat and we have been thinking about astronauts as we played with our space station.
