Very many thanks to Mr & Mrs Willis and their family and staff for hosting us today at their shop. We learned about the different products they sell and how the lorries arrive with deliveries in cages and sometimes it is tractors bringing local farm produce such as potatoes. We met the delivery driver who brings the sausages and burgers for barbecues! We were in teams with a shopping list and basket to buy groceries for our snack. It was fun to scan the items and weigh the fruit. While we were there we wrote a card for Mrs Davidson and each of us used the ink pad from the Post Office to make a finger print. Mrs Davidson will be very surprised to get a card addressed to her! Mrs Willis also put together a special package for Nursery and posted it, so we are very excited to look out for it arriving next week. Each child also received a lovely bag of treats to take home.
