Did you know some children have to walk 5 miles just to get a drink of water? In most cases the water is dirty. To develop our empathy we walked 5 miles this afternoon. We talked about how we had a much easier journey - we had water to stay hydrated, we have shoes and the MUGA is much easier to walk around than a dusty, rough road. Some of us didn’t manage 5 miles but we got an idea of how difficult it would be to live without running water.
