We all wore yellow today for World Mental Health. In the assembly hall, we followed the Relax Kids model of movement and games, stretching, breathing, massage, positive affirmations and visualisation. We have been developing an awareness of our feelings and learning the Makaton signs for emotions. We played a game where we had to guess the feeling and we talked about what makes us feel different ways. We had a healthy yellow snack of crackers, cheese and bananas. Throughout our Nursery day we seek to promote healthy minds and bodies through appreciating life’s everyday moments, enjoying being together and sharing a laugh, appreciating time spent in nature, exercising, eating healthy and practising relaxation strategies.
